Translation - FAQs
1.How do I confirm a translation quote?
All you need to do is sign the quote accepting the general conditions of sale, stamp it with your company’s stamp and then send it back to us by fax or e-mail.
2.How do I get a quote?
We need to see the text to analyse its content and calculate the number of words in order to provide you with a translation quote. We will draw up an accurate quote for you within 24 hours.
3.How do you draw up a quote?
Translations are invoiced based on the number of French words.
For foreign languages, the number of French words is calculated using a word count increase.
Urgent translations may incur additional charges
4.How long does a translation take?
On average, a translator can translate 2,000 words per working day.
A translation is deemed urgent when a translator is required to translate more than 2,000 French words in a day.
5.What is the VAT rate for translations?
VAT is charged at 19.6% for all translations and interpreting events in France.
There is no VAT charge for translations and interpreting events which take place outside France.
6.Which languages do you translate?
We translate all languages. For some less common languages a ‘double’ translation is necessary. This can involve a translation into English before translating into the target language (translation from French to Maltese, for example).
